History Jeniette Melamed, owner and founder of Jeniette Day Spa, came to the United States from her native Iran in 1979. In 1982, she moved to New York and opened a beauty salon with four employees in the East Village. Since then, the business has grown into a day spa with a large international following at 58 East 13th Street, between Broadway and University Place. This was a new concept for the neighborhood. Jeniette New York prides itself on the personal service it has been providing its clients since 1982.
